_ The 2024 Miles For Margaritas:

Join us Sunday May 5th 2024 for the 4th Annual Stratford Little Pub's Miles for Margaritas 5k.
 
You can run or walk the "chip timed" 3.11 mile/5k event or walk the UNTIMED Margarita Mile option. All abilities are welcome - EVERYONE 21 & over is eligible for a terrific margarita after their finish. (N/a margaritas, other N/a fluids & soft drinks also available).
 
NOTE NEW START TIME @ 8:45 am

Both courses run through the scenic seaside neighborhood of Lordship, in Stratford. 
All participants in both events will receive the same 'swag' of shirt and more.
 
The 5k timed distance participants are eligible for awards & prizes in their age groups.
The untimed walk does not include any awards.

This safe, modified event follows all state guidelines and health department mandates.

EVENT INFORMATION
The 5k Run/Walk is an individual bib, chip-timed event from your start to your finish. You will receive your ‘net’ time.
A specially designed T-Shirt size will be guaranteed to entrants registered by midnight April 23. 
After that it's "as available" so don't delay!
 

Snacks, fruit, refreshments and fluids after you are done- and MARGARITAS for ages 21 and above only. ID NEEDED! 
We will also be serving Stratford's own award winning Athletic Brew, non alcoholic craft brew.
 

Parking is available in lots of the Little Pub, along Washington Pkwy, and along the seawall.
PLEASE arrive early and try to carpool. This is a residential area- parking along the seawall may fill up early with non-event cars.

First place M & F champions receive $25 each.
First place age group awards LITTLE PUB $10 GIFT CARDS - more may be added.
Age groups- 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
 
SPECIAL AWARDS- ORANGE THEORY FITNESS GIFT BASKETS
Donated by the Shelton location- these will be awarded to the top finishers from Stratford and Shelton. 
Each basket contains a heart monitor, five free classes & sport towel.

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 250 people! Sign up now, before it’s too late. Don't get shut out!
Online registration closes once we are full -  It will remain open on Race Day until 15 minutes before the start if we are not full.
 
There is NO PAPER, IN PERSON REG - all must be done online- even on May 7th. 
 
ONLINE REGISTRATION FEES -  THE 5k TIMED EVENT - $30 for ALL ages 
       THE ONE MILE WALK ONLY, UNTIMED EVENT - $25 all ages

LATE ONLINE REGISTRATION May 5 is $35 FOR THE 5K & $30 FOR THE ONE MILE if we are not sold out. 
 
 
COURSE DETAILS great water views, 95.6% flat, and quiet roads. Our map will be posted soon.
 Roads are OPEN - you'll need to run/walk safely ON THE LEFT, FACING TRAFFIC and be aware at all times.
*We REQUEST that you NOT use earpods of any type so you can hear any warnings and instructions during your event.
 

NO WATER TABLES ON THE COURSE. Carry your own fluids if needed.
 
TIMED EVENT DISTANCE- will be an accurately measured 5K route.

SATURDAY May 6    10am - 2pm Bib & swag pickup at the Little Pub Market, Washington Parkway, Stratford across the street from the restaurant.
SUNDAY May 7  7:30- 8:35 am  Bib & swag pickup at the lot across    
                                                     the street from the Little Pub.                                             
                                      Really Late reg online-only if not sold out
                        ($35 timed event/$25 untimed one-mile walk if not sold out)
                         8:30 am FREE Kids Fun Run
                         (9 year old & younger only please)

SAFETY MODIFICATIONS
Thanks to the many Departments of Stratford we will be able to present this outdoor event. Safe distances and safety protocols will be in place, and State/Town guidelines will be met. 
With fixed costs and pre-payment of many items, this means we CANNOT under any conditions REFUND any registration fees. Whether we are live or virtual our commitment to our charity will be maintained. We hope you can support this commitment and join us.
 
IMPORTANT DETAIL- There will be a 250 person total, limit for these events. 

 
RACE DATA- We will be using a chip-timed start FOR THE 5k EVENT ONLY.  This has been successfully used in various races around the state by our production company.
WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR A SAFE START- If you are truly at a speedy running level (6-7min pace per mile or under) we urge you to be at the start early and ready to go at the front 8:45 am. This will avoid crowding on the course and help everyone to run more safely. Thanks!

ON THE COURSE- We ask you to stay safe and run on the left side, announce if you are passing from behind, and not to run in groups.
 

THE ONE MILE WALK ONLY UNTIMED EVENT- We ask you to keep a safe distance and please let any runners pass safely by staying to the left side of the roads on this course as much as possible.
