_The 2024 Boca Hawaii Cycling Training:

Hawaii Cycling Training is dedicated to:

1. promoting cycling in Hawaii.
2. assisting each BOCA member in developing his / her cycling potential for training and / or racing, according to his / her lifestyle and individual cycling goals.
3. creating a BOCA Cycling Team, one that promotes safe, effective cycling, and offers support and encouragement to its team members.

The HCT program is designed to provide an organized training plan covering:

     •  bicycle safety

     •  bicycle technique

     •  time trial technique

     •  speed, hill & endurance workouts

     •  turbo training

     •  stretching

     •  seminars

EQUIPMENT

     •  Bicycle

     •  Helmet (mandatory, must be worn when cycling)

     •  Cycling shorts, cycling shoes, jersey

     •  Jacket, rain jacket

     •  Flat tire kit, pump, bicycle wrench

     •  Protective eyewear, gloves

     •  Water bottle(s), body glide

     •  Head & tail lights (important)

     •  Turbo trainer (recommended)

     •  Heart rate monitor (optional)

     •  Power watts (optional)

For novice or experienced athletes who love cycling! Learn how to be a good cyclist, to ride efficiently and with strength. An optional end of program experience is a climb up HALEAKALA mountain on Maui (March 12).
