_ The 2024 Dragon Dash 5K/10K Fun Run & Walk:

We are celebrating the birthday of the rooftop dragon, Erasmus, guardian of Downtown Renton!
The Dragon Dash 5K/10K Fun Run & Walk is soaring into Renton and Erasmus has plotted the course! Along the way, you may encounter a medieval knight, a sword in the stone, or even a fire-breathing dragon! This race is open to competitive runners, fun runners, walkers, and families. After the run, venture through the Ren Fair in downtown Renton, put on by the Renton Arts Commission. There will also be accurate and professional chip timing provided by Bell Lap Productions.

Time: Race begins at 9am. Checkin tables open at 8:30am at 826 S 3rd St, Renton, WA 98057 under Erasmus the Dragon.
Organized by City of Renton's Recreation Department, with coordination assistance provided by Bell Lap Productions.

  ROUTE  
Race begins in the middle of the road; barriers will be in-place but please be aware of your surroundings.

Race begins on Wells Ave S, right next to Macadon's (826 S 3rd St, Renton, WA 98057) and Common Ground Coffee & Cupcakes (900 S 3rd St # A, Renton, WA 98057) at 9am. Runners will take an immediate left onto S 3rd St, past Veterans Memorial Park and the Renton History Museum, then onto the Cedar River Trail through the Cedar River Dog Park. The rest of the race will be on paved trails or parking lots. 5K runners will continue on the Cedar River Trail until Riverview Park where you will turn around and head to the finish line at the Henry Moses Aquatic Center. 10K runners will continue past Riverview Park, over the bridge, under Maple Valley Highway, past the Maplewood Golf Course, and turn around at Ron Regis Park. The finish line will be at the end of the Cedar River Trail at Henry Moses Aquatic Center.

  AWARDS & RESULTS  
Awards will be given to the top three runners overall in non binary, male, and female groups. Prizes donated by local businesses will also be raffled off randomly at the end of the race.
