_ The 2024 Jeff Turner Memorial 5K:

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Jeff Turner Memorial 5K which will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023. With the help of local sponsors, we will provide the Pontotoc Police Department with extra funding that will ensure the department does not go without an essential need. The goal is to help ensure that every officer has the tools they need to safely and efficiently perform their duties and return to their families unharmed. 100% of the proceeds will remain local, benefitting the Pontotoc Police Department and the family of Lieutenant Jeff Turner. 
 
This event will kick off at 10 AM with a prayer and a special police procession honoring Pontotoc's fallen officer, Lieutenant Jeff Turner. This 5k race will be a COLORFUL "fun run," and therefore, will not be officially timed. Thank you in advance for your support and participation towards this special cause.
