_The 2022 IRIS Run for Refugees:

The IRIS Run for Refugees is back in-person! Join us on Super Bowl Sunday, February 13, for a flat & fast 5K through New Haven's East Rock neighborhood!

The in-person event is limited to 2,000 participants!

 Virtual run option: If you don't feel comfortable joining us in-person, run or walk, or bike a 5k in your neighborhood, on your treadmill, or wherever you like! We will mail your shirt and bib out to you!

Your registration and fundraising for our annual 5K provides refugees and immigrants with vital services such as housing, healthcare, job placement, education, and much more.

In 2020, IRIS helped 120 refugees and immigrants find work, provided $200,000 in rental assistance, taught students English, art, and music, virtually and fed 300+ families per week with essential groceries from our food pantry.

Registration includes our iconic Run for Refugees T-shirt. We want to see you rock your Run for Refugees gear across Connecticut and the country! Tag us in your photos and videos and we’ll feature you on social media. All participants will receive a Run for Refugees race bib. 

EARN COMPLIMENTARY ENTRY! Donate or fundraise $200 or more for IRIS and receive complimentary race entry! Your donation and fundraising efforts help IRIS provide a variety of services and support to refugees.

The course runs entirely through the scenic neighborhood of East Rock. The flat course begins and finishes at Wilbur Cross High School.
