The Shamrock-N-Run 5K has been one of the largest 5K races around campus and the Chapel Hill community for years. In lieu of an in-person race this year, our chapter is hosting a Shamrock-N-Run Virtual Miles Challenge to maintain social distancing and keep community and family members safe. This event will begin March 10th and continue through March 17th!
Every year, all Shamrock proceeds go towards the prevention of child abuse, benefitting the Center for Child and Family Health in Durham, North Carolina, as well as the national leader in child abuse prevention, Prevent Child Abuse America. Last year, we raised over $62,000! Our efforts to support both of these organizations are crucial this upcoming year given the pandemic. With your help, we are hoping to raise even more in celebration of the 28th anniversary!
Year after year, Kappa Delta is one of CCFH’s largest single donors. CCFH provides highly effective clinical treatment for post-traumatic stress from abuse and neglect, giving hope for a healthy future to more than 300 children each year in the Triangle area.
