Description:

Great opportunity to run a community fun run and race on the last mile of the historic Wearin' of the Green St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Baton Rouge.  Welcome to the 3rd annual Wearin' of the Green 5K Shamrock Run! The 5K Certified Course (3.1 miles) starts and ends at Moreau Physical Therapy on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge. You must be able to run or walk 3.1 miles in under one hour. The Wearin' of the Green, St. Patrick's Day Parade rolls immediately after the run.  This run is going to be so much fun!  Definitely Wear Your Green!

Event Details: 

All entrants get an awesome technical running shirt or singlet from Brooks Running. All finishers get an oversized Wearin’ of the Green Shamrock 5K Run medal. Lots of delicious food and beverages afterwards at Moreau PT.

8:00am - 5k Shamrock Run Start
8:00am - Finisher Food Court opens behind Moreau Physical Therapy
8:45am - Awards Ceremony

RACE RULES

For the safety of all participants, and for insurance reasons: Baby joggers or strollers are not allowed in the 5K race. No dogs in the race or the start/finish area
No participants with leg or foot casts
No exceptions to above rules

Registration Fees (Early & Late Fees & dates):

$25    Now until - Jan. 5th

$35    From Jan. 6th - Jan. 31st

$40    From Feb. 1st - Feb. 29th 

$50    From March 1st - March 10th

CANCELLATION POLICY

Shamrock Run Fees are non-refundable & entries are non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate for any reason whatsoever, you shall not give or sell your bib number to anyone else, and you shall not transfer your entry fee to a future race. In the event that the Shamrock Run is postponed or canceled by the Organizer or by order or request of any court, the city, parish, state or federal government for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to any fortuitous event, then the Shamrock Run Fees remain non-refundable.
 
*Stragglers will be escorted off the route by Baton Rouge's finest police officers to make way for the Parade

Friday, March 18 at Varsity Sports, 2055 Perkins Road, BR, LA, from 10 am - 2 pm.

Race Day (Saturday, March 19 - Yes, Parade Day also) Pickup (Behind Moreau Physical Therapy) 6:30 am - Race Start at 8:00 am

Awards – First 500 finishers receive a unique Shamrock Run finisher medal. 

Awards will still be given to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers after the race.

T-shirts:

Technical short sleeve – UNISEX SIZING – XS, S, M, L, XL, AND XXL

OR

Technical running singlet – Women’s sizes - XS, S, M, L, XL

                                            Men’s sizes - S, M, L, XL  

Register for run by Feb 28 for a shirt guaranteed in your size.
