2022 Shamrock Shuffle 5K...

_The 2022 Shamrock Shuffle 5K:

You're invited to attend the 10th Annual Chamber of Commerce Shamrock Shuffle 5K run/walk that will take place on Saturday, March 12th, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Come out for a day of fun and racing in the Pulaski County area as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day ..... Lake Cumberland Style !!! 

Yes, this year's race will be live-and-in-person .... with a few minor changes.

In order to observe proper social distancing, this year's race will have staggered start times.  Participants will choice their start time during the online registration process.  

Basically, we will have small groups taking off instead of all 700+ runners at the same time.

Because the race has professional chip timing, it will not matter when you race everyone will get a chip time based on exactly when they start and exactly when they finish. 

The Shamrock Shuffle welcomes participants of all ability levels, from runners who are beginning their annual running and fitness regimen to seasoned veterans. The course is a measured 5K race, and professional chip timing will be used to ensure race time accuracy.

Race participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

(Shirts will only be guaranteed for people who register before 3/04/2022 at 9PM)

The Pulaski County Shamrock Shuffle is organized by the Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce.

The race will begin and end in the Stonegate Shopping Center in Burnside, KY.

Awards

We will not have a live onsite awards ceremony, but rather official awards will be finalized on Saturday afternoon.   Award winners and door prize winners will be able to pickup their prizes at the Somerset Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce office located at 236 E Mt Vernons Street Monday-Friday from 9AM-4PM.  

Plaques will be awarded to the overall "Top 3 Overall Runners" for both male and female.   

Top finishers in each age group for both Male and Female will receive an awesome award medal. Age Overall race winners are removed from the age categories.

Age Groups:

Male and Female: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ 

Team:
The Fastest Team and the Largest Team will be awarded Plaques  

Team must have, but are not limited to, 5 members.  

Fastest Team Award will be based on the cumulative times of the fastest 5 finishers on each team.

FASTEST KID IN TOWN

Who will win the crown as the Fastest Kid in Town?

On Saturday, March 13th, the Shamrock Shuffle will introduce the second annual “Fastest Kid in Town” race.

This year’s event combines a fun, fast, and competitive 5K race with a series of kids races that ultimately crowns the “Fastest Kid in Town.”

The kids-only, 50 yard races will take place at 9:30 a.m., before the Shamrock Shuffle begins at 10:00 a.m.

Participating runners will compete in four age categories: 3-4 years, 5-6-years, 7-8 years, 9-12 years. Medals for the fastest male and female runners of each category will be awarded. All participants will receive a race logo t-shirt for their efforts.

The cost of the “Fastest Kid in Town” is $10.00 with a commemorative race t-shirt guaranteed in the child’s size if registered on or before March 4th at 9 p.m

To sign up in person, you should visit the Chamber of Commerce Office in Downtown Somerset, 236 East Mt. Vernon Street, weekdays between 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
