_ The 2022 Expedition 12K: - CANCELLED

Kick off trail running season at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park! Run on single-track trails that cover 2,200+ feet of vertical gain & 2,187 ft. vertical loss. The trails are typically dry and clear of snow mid-April, however there has been years with snow and some icy spots. Be prepared for various weather conditions, climbing, sharp turns, and beautiful views. Don't wait to register, this race is capped and is expected to sell out before the race date.

Course: Primarily single track trail with a few asphalt road crossings

Aid Stations: There are 2 aid locations stocked with water, gatorade and energy gel. All stations are cupless. You must provide your own cup/hydration system or consider purchasing your own reusable race cup with race registration.

Carpooling: We highly encourage all runners to carpool to the event where possible. This will help us with the management of this event as parking is limited. Please follow the parking attendants when you enter the park.

Refund Policy: This race does not qualify for refunds or rollovers.

Your Registration: Includes chip timing, park entry, a customized 12oz MiiR camp cup, & post-race hot lunch (fajitas) and drinks.

Packet Pickup:  Friday at Bozeman Running Company from 10:00AM - 7:00PM. Yes, you can have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you.

Race Morning Pickup: 8:00AM - 8:45 AM at Lewis & Clark Caverns (start line)

Trail Care: This is a cupless race and we ask that you help us in keeping the trail clean. Leave No Trace — pack all trash, GU packets and wrappers with you. Stay on all designated trails and follow the race flags. Do not cut trails or switchbacks. Run through mud and snow sections, not around them.
