2023 Run Through the Storm 5k...

_ The 2023 Run Through the Storm 5k:

A 5k service project organized by students and teachers at Sturgis East Charter Public School to help raise money to support our track and field program.  Locally funded, and a Run/Walk to encourage everyone to participate.

Race starts on Pearl street at Sturgis at 10:00 am, on Saturday, March 25th, 2023

We will plan to have walkers start at the same time as runners, but if you intend to walk, we will ask you to start near the back.

The course will go as follows:

Race starts on Pearl Street and turn left onto South Street, then take a right onto Old Colony Road and go straight for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Gosnold Road,  Then right onto Esty Road, left onto Hawes Ave (Water station at this point, 1.5 miles), left onto Ocean Street, straight back for about 1 mile to a merge back onto Old Colony, which merges back to South Street, right back onto Pearl Street to finish at the same start-line location.  Race is 5k, and there will be volunteers stationed at every turn to help keep runners on the route.

Bib Pick-up is Same Day Only, and begins at 8:30.

There are awards for age groups: Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each, 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-44, 45-54, 55-65, 65+.
