Description: _ The 2024 Sun Marathon - 26.2 - 13.1 - 10K - 5K:

Each participant has the option to choose from one of four distances to run. That includes 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon. 

This race will help the runners have a nice break from the cold and retreat into the warmth of the St. George/ Santa Clara area. These courses are mostly downhill with a few rollers and climbs. The views of the huge red rock mountains, Gunlock Reservoir, and a nice riverside path are icing on the cake. During this race, you will pass by Gunlock Road, passing Gunlock Reservoir, and the Shivwits Paiutes Tribe land. The beauty of this course is hard to beat. 

There will be aid stations at every other mile, beginning at Mile 3 of the Marathon. They will be supported by volunteers who will provide cups of water and Powerade. There are some select aid stations that provide those beverages plus GU Gels or fruit. First aid kits with bandaids, body lube, and muscle rub cream will also be included.

course Info: Though the courses are primarily downhill over the distance there are some rollers and a few climbs. The views during this race are great with huge red rock mountains all around to views of Gunlock Reservoir during the Marathon and a nice river along the Full and Half Marathons.
