_ The 2024 Rotary Peachtree City Half Marathon & 5K:

Join us for the first annual Rotary Club of Peachtree City Half Marathon & 5k on January 13, 2024. Our Rotary Club and Peachtree City have a long partnership of service in a community of runners. The tree lined golf cart paths of our planned community are an ideal place for this event for runners of all levels and abilities. Greenspace, lakes, and wildlife mark this family friendly, fitness oasis, just a short drive south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International
Airport.

By participating in this inaugural event, you will help the Rotary Club of Peachtree City continue our local history of serving through running. For 18 years we have hosted the Rotary Grand Prix 5k Series in partnership with 15 local elementary schools, raising over $1millon for those schools and helping to reduce childhood obesity through fitness. And this is just one of the many ways we model “Service Above Self” in our local and global community each year.

Rotary International is a global network of 1.4 million members across 46,000 clubs, founded in Chicago, IL on February 23, 1905. The Rotary Club of Peachtree City was established in 1967, is the oldest service club in Fayette County, and currently operates with approximately 120 members. Rotarians believe we have a responsibility to unite and take action that creates lasting change – in ourselves, in our communities, and across the globe. Our focus areas include promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, improving sanitation and hygiene, rescuing mothers and children, supporting education, growing local economies, and stewarding our environment. We do this by providing service to others, promoting integrity, advancing world understanding, and fostering goodwill through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders.

Race Timing
In partnership with Wire2wire Running, Half Marathon and 5K runners will be timed via a disposable timing chip on their race bib provided in race packets. 

Half Marathon (USATF Certified Course)
Start Time: 8:00am
Time Limit: 4 hours, cut-off 12:00pm
Course: 5.1 miles of paved street, 8 miles of paved, rolling golf cart paths 
Minimum Age: 14 years of age on race day
Pace groups: See pace leaders in the starting area with signs for 1:35, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, and 2:45 race finish times.

5K
Start Time: 9:00am
Time Limit: 2 hours, cut-off 11:00am
Course: 0.9 miles of paved street, 2.2 miles of paved, rolling golf cart paths
Minimum Age: 6 years of age on race day

Race Shirts
All half marathon and 5k participants receive a tech T-shirt based on size indicated with online registration. Race shirts may be picked up at Frederick Brown Jr Amphitheater during packet pick-up or on the race morning before your event start time.

Half Marathon Race Medals
All registered runners who complete the half marathon will receive a unique finisher’s medal immediately after finishing the race.

Awards
Official times based on actual time of race event start and total chip time for runner. Award recipients will be announced during the awards ceremony beginning at approximately 11:00 am in the parking lot of Frederick Brown Jr Amphitheater. Awards must be claimed during the ceremony and will not be mailed to recipients.

Top Finisher Awards
Half Marathon and 5K awards for overall top 3 Male and Female finishers in Open and
Masters' categories for all races. 

Age Group Awards
Half Marathon awards for top three Male and Female finishers in the following age groups:
14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70-74, 75
and over.

5K awards for top three Male and Female finishers in the following age groups:
10 & under (5K only) 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70-74.
