HAPPY NEW YEAR!
To start 2024, Peninsula Track Club presents the New Year's Day 2024 5K - Runner & Walker category available. The course is run through the scenic Newport News Park and is considered fast and nearly flat. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome. There will be course Judges to verify walkers. York High School Cross-country / Track & Field will be the event coordinator and volunteers. Proceeds will assist with YHS XC/TF equipment, uniforms, and expenses associated with their events. There is no runsignup fees, what you see is what you pay.
T-shirt for those who register before December 4, 2023.
January 1, 2024:
9:15 - 10:15 am BIB & shirt pick up at Newport News Park, picnic shelters 19 & 20, across the street from the Ranger's Station
10:30 RACE START: On Constitution Way in front of the Ranger's Station headed toward Jefferson Ave.
~11:30 am AWARDS: -- Awards for the top three in each age group.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON DECEMBER 31, 2023.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 9:15 am, JANUARY 1, 2024. Race day registration is $50 cash or $45 if paid via RunSignUp which will open back up at 9:15 am on race day. See Thomas Tate for race day sign up at BIB pick up. There will be a sign and a table for race day sign up, race day cost is $50 cash or check.
